Gabriel Daniel Danescu
Hello! I’m Gabriel, a passionate Junior Game Designer from Romania with a Bachelor’s degree in Game Design.
Throughout my four years of academic study, I collaborated with diverse teams to create impactful projects. These experiences not only honed my adaptability to various environments but also strengthened my ability to work effectively within teams. Beginning in my second year, I gained valuable experience collaborating with clients to design and develop products that met their specific needs and expectations.
I specialize in developing immersive 3D characters, with a strong focus on the fantasy genre—a passion deeply rooted in my love for gaming. Creativity is at the core of my work, and I often push beyond the boundaries of ordinary reality to design characters that spark imagination and wonder.
My journey into gaming began at a young age, but the game that truly ignited my lifelong passion was Lineage 2, which I started playing at the age of seven. This experience introduced me to the enchanting world of fantasy creatures—such as orcs, elves, dwarves, minotaurs, ghouls, gargoyles, faeries, etc.—which continues to inspire my work today.
Always eager to learn and grow, I’m excited to contribute to the future of game design and bring new worlds to life.
For the past five years, I’ve been honing my 3D skills in Blender, which was the standard software at my university. Throughout the 3D asset development process, I’ve focused extensively on Substance Painter for creating detailed materials and textures. Additionally, I leverage Photoshop for final touch-ups, ensuring the materials are fully optimized and ready for integration into game engines.
During my university years, Unity served as the primary software for game development, and I utilized it extensively to create multiple projects. In my final year, I shifted my focus to Unreal Engine, mastering its Blueprint visual scripting system and designing diverse environments by utilizing existing game assets.
Although I have gained experience with these particular software tools, I am eager to expand my knowledge and refine my skills by exploring and mastering additional software within the game development field.
